As the Sr. Technical Program Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and driving programs both internally and externally with strategic customers of TDK for our state-of-the-art MEMS microphone products. You are hands-on, versatile, and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Your work will focus on both driving worldwide technical teams to deliver timely results and interfacing directly to a major customer. You will provide guidance to internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met and at times appropriately managed.

You will be part of the Microphone Business Unit Program Management Office (PMO) and work closely together with the other program managers to implement the PMO strategy. The PMO team will ensure efficient program execution across all programs in the business unit.

What you can expect

  • Cross Functional Team Coordination – Successfully drive a cross functional team to formulate a plan and drive to successful results on schedule. Must be highly organized, use strategies and tactics to effectively drive engineering teams, and analytical to provide review of customer facing materials.
  • Understand the Voice of the Customer– Directly interface with a major customer to understand and manage their expectations and requirements. Identify TDK expert resources required to deliver customer requirements and meet expectations by milestone deadlines
  • Deliver Customer Results – Champion the programs by rallying the engineering teams to consistently deliver high quality and on-time customer facing deliverables meeting customer expectations
  • Communication and Reporting – Provide regular updates to management on program status, gaps, and where needed, provide potential solutions to bring programs back on track. Effective communication to internal and customer engineering teams

What you bring to the table

  • Expertise with MEMS sensors (e.g. microphone, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer) is required
  • Prior hands-on experience in a project or program manager role, or previously held various product development roles in product engineering, test engineering or applications engineering
  • Excellent understanding of product development stages and the responsibilities of each development team
  • Excellent communication to major customers articulating our commitments to achieve customer requirements while balancing available resources
  • Proven track record to break up long activities into intermediary delivery points to check in on engineering progress and provide regular updates to customers and internal management
  • Proven ability to collaborate, work cross-functionally, and gain support to generate results and meet business unit objectives
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to effectively communicate to the target audience
  • Relevant work experience with BSEE; higher degrees are a plus
